# Usernames and Anonymous mode

###### Username

When you register on Wolfy, you will have to specify your username: this will become your new identity on the game. This one can be changed every 30 days, so be careful with the one you choose!

However, being visible to all, there are certain rules you must respect:

	 * Your username must be between 4 and 16 characters long.
	
	 * It cannot contain spaces or special characters (except for the "_" sign).

	 * It must not be offensive: insults, demeaning comments towards certain communities, groups or ethnicities are prohibited.

	 * It is forbidden to impersonate the identity of a real person.


###### Anonymous Mode

If you have purchased the Alpha rank, you will have access to several advantages, including the anonymous mode. This is a temporary nickname that will hide your real username and your real level so that you will not be recognized. 

⚙️ To do so, go to your [settings](https://wolfy.net/settings).

Then, below the social media section, you will find the option "Anonymous mode". 
In the text box, you will be able to write a temporary username. This is how you activate the anonymous mode.

⚠️ However, just like your regular username, it is subject to the same rules: 

	 * It must be between 4 and 16 characters long.
	
	 * It cannot contain spaces or special characters (except for the "_" sign).

	 * It must not be offensive: insults, demeaning comments towards certain communities, groups or ethnicities are prohibited.

	 * It is forbidden to impersonate the identity of a real person.

|| Please note that it is also forbidden to knowingly use the username of a player who has been banned from our platforms, as this could be considered as provocation and will be punished.
