Serious Games
Serious Games are for players who want to push the strategy and thinking of the game.
They are only available from level 5. Once this level is reached, a tab will be visible above the list of games allowing to change the type of games displayed. A player below level 5 can still access a Serious Game through the game link or via their friends list.

Specific Rules
In Serious Games, the same rules apply as in Fun Games, but other stricter common-sense rules promoting fair play are also added. Below is a list of rules exclusive to Serious Games.

The rules of Wolfy also apply to Serious Games. However, there are a few variations in the way the game is played:
Unveiling
Revealing one’s own role or giving clues that could lead to guessing it is forbidden. False reveals are also forbidden.
Be careful! It is possible to confuse a defense with an unveiling. In the Wolfy jargon, “def” is used to mean a defense argument, and “devo” means an unveiling.
Here are some examples of unveilings not to use:
- I am the Seer: This is an unveiling by definition.
- I protect someone: Implies a protective role such as Hunter, Guard, or Witch.
- My role is useless: Implies a powerless or uninformed role such as Simple Villager or Red Riding Hood.
- If I die, you die too: Refers to the Hunter role.
- My role is useful at night: Implies roles active at night such as Witch, Seer, or Necromancer.
- Pivot, he’s safe: Refers to the Mentalist.
To offer a good defense, you first need to understand that reasoning is based on a voting system.
The first round, whether day or night, will mostly serve to gather information, such as:
- spotting the Talkative Wolf, if included in the composition;
- identifying inactive players (afk) at night;
- noticing players who are most discreet during the day;
- noticing those diverting attention to off-topic discussions;
- spotting first attacks such as “first votes” (fv);
- validating day votes to check for suspicious ones;
- observing those who counterattack or lack arguments to justify innocence.
It is therefore possible to build your defense based on messages in-game or day votes.
Examples of defenses:
- I’ve always voted for wolves, so I’m safe.
- My previous messages don’t contain chatty words. (useful when accused of being the Talkative Wolf)
- I find this player rather discreet, so he seems suspicious.
- I accused the Black Wolf first.
Unveiling infected players
It is forbidden to reveal players infected by the Sick Rat.
You must subtly direct votes toward non-infected players without explicitly indicating that they are not infected (and therefore potentially the Sick Rat).

Coup d’État
Using your Dictator power to kill during the first round is forbidden. The player has no information about the game, so the odds of killing a Werewolf are low.
However, in some cases, there may be strategic interest in the first round:
- When the Dictator is in a relationship with the Seer, and she reveals the identity of a Werewolf.
- When the Dictator is in a relationship with a Werewolf and they aim to win together.
The Dictator can still use his power to abdicate whenever he wants.

Killing powers
All powers allowing to kill on the first round are forbidden (except for the Dictator). The player has no information about the game, so the odds of killing a Werewolf are low.
However, in some cases, there may be strategic interest:
- When the Witch is infected on the first night and uses her potion to kill an innocent.
- When the Witch is in a relationship with a Seer and learns the identity of a Werewolf.
- When the Witch is in a relationship with a Werewolf and they must win together.
- The Pyromancer can place his barrel on the first round and detonate it on the second, if information gathered during the night or day justifies it.

Ninja votes
In Serious Games, ninja votes are allowed, as they are considered the result of the player's overall reflection during the round.
A few examples of relevant ninja votes:
- If you suspect a player to be a Werewolf and want to surprise them with a vote.
- If a player with most votes suddenly claims innocence.
- To save one of your fellow Wolves.

Votes between Werewolves
As a Werewolf, it is allowed to vote for your fellow Wolves during the day, but only if the Wolf who is sacrificed agrees to it during the night.
However, there are exceptions when you may accuse your partner without permission:
Launching a fake accusation (without maintaining it) to confuse others:
- When you are doomed to die (e.g., the village knows you are a Wolf), you may vote for an allied Wolf to cover your tracks.
- When a player who accused a Wolf becomes infected by the Black Wolf, they may continue voting that Wolf to appear consistent.
- When you want to “start the debate” by voting your partner, helping them defend themselves and appear innocent.
Launching a vote to kill your partner:
- When the Wolf has been explicitly discovered by the village.
- When the Talkative Wolf fails to place their word properly.
- When a Wolf is in a relationship with an innocent – the Wolf can then vote another Wolf first to win as a couple.
- When a Wolf votes himself on the first night to die and hopes to be revived by the Witch to appear innocent (risky strategy 👀).
As a Werewolf, it is forbidden to try to kill the White Wolf at the beginning of the game (day or night). It is an allied Wolf that helps kill more villagers early in the game. It becomes acceptable to target it after its first kill.

Mentalist’s intuition
The Mentalist cannot explicitly reveal whether the vote is going well or poorly.
He must find a way to make himself understood without revealing that he is the Mentalist.
If he plays well and is consistent, he will manage to lead the game.

The Talkative Seer
The Talkative Seer may vote in an obvious or predictable way, even if that puts them in danger. Their vote does not have to seem logical; they can “reveal” themselves by voting the player they saw.

Suicide with the Plunderer
Any suicide is allowed as long as it is for a strategic reason that benefits your team — for example, sacrificing yourself early so that the Plunderer doesn’t join the opposing side.

The Hunter’s shot
The Hunter must shoot only a player he suspects or who, in his opinion, prevents the Innocents from winning. Revengful shots are not tolerated.
If the Hunter dies in the first round, he may still shoot if he deems it necessary.

Inactivity in-game
When you join a Serious Game, make sure you have the time and capacity to actively participate and finish it.
An automatic 1-hour penalty may apply if you quit the game early, so ensure you have a stable connection and stay available throughout. Being inactive can get you excluded, making your role useless and penalizing your team.
It is recommended to stay engaged in discussions and votes each round.
